SKB is “Bank of the Year 2012 in Slovenia”
SKB Bank succeeded to win The Banker magazine's 'Bank of the Year Awards 2012' for the second time.
Yesterday, on November 28, 2012, two SKB's representatives, Vojka Ravbar, Deputy CEO, and Jelka Novak Katona, Head of Corporate Communication, accepted at the Bank of the Year Awards Ceremony in London the recognition which SKB got as one of the winners of The Banker's annual competition. The 'Bank of the Year Awards' Ceremony has been attended by the heads and top management of banks from over 100 countries.
EIB continues to support smaller projects though SKB in Slovenia
EIB and SKB have signed a contract to ensure the long-term funds in the amount of EUR 75 million. Funds will be used to finance SME's, midcap companies and municipalities in Slovenia. Both financial institutions are confident in the Slovenian economy to be able to generate high-quality investment projects and with fresh resources wish to contribute to the economic development and growth.
In the focus: safety and satisfaction of customers
SKB Group, which consists of SKB Bank and SKB Leasing, ended this year’s first half with a profit before tax in the amount of EUR 7.4 million. The customers, shareholders and employees satisfaction as well as safety in the difficult economic situation were still the guidance in achieving these business results. SKB entered the conditions of financial and economic crisis in a good shape.
SKB – The main sponsor of Slovene olympic team till 2016
SKB and Olympic Committee of Slovenia on 3 July 2012 signed an agreement on further cooperation. SKB stays the main sponsor of the Slovenian Olympic team also in the period from 2012 to 2016. This year the bank marks the venerable 19th anniversary of signing the first contract with the Olympic Committee of Slovenia on the main sponsorship of the Slovenian Olympic team.

Attention to the clients and the prudent but optimal management of assets and liabilities were the keys to excellent business results, even in unfavourable economic conditions. SKB Group finished 2011 with a net profit in the amount of EUR 24.4 million.
